With the onset of Covid-19, lakhs of families were affected- directly and indirectly- due to limited access to basic necessities. The foundation launched various initiatives in the Tricity area and for the Hartek staff members as the city grappled with the second and third wave of the virus infection. The months of April-June (2021) were especially tough as the country faced the second wave of covid infections along with extreme oxygen shortage, increasing deaths and an overall sense of doom.

We constantly engage with the sarpanch, panchayat secretary and local community members to establish our relationship, understand their needs and create our project plans based on their custom requirements. Our planned initiatives include (but not limited to):

Through our initiatives, we had a beneficiary outreach to 4000+ individuals in the form of:

  • Langar Sewa (Free food delivery) for Covid affected families
  • Vaccine donation to the Punjab government
  • Vaccination camp in Raipur village
  • Blood donation camp to support PGI Hospital, Chandigarh
  • Distribution of N-95 masks and oximeters
  • Donation support to setup a 50-bed hospital during second wave

65% of India’s population is rural and we believe this is the hub for social development opportunities. We have legally adopted Village Raipur (Punjab) and our aim is to create this village into a model SMART VILLAGE. This a small village and hence has been neglected as it does not even have a dispensary, dedicated Asha worker or proper sanitation practices.

We will act as a facilitator and collaborate with various stakeholders to augment our mission.
